The uncertainty of knowledge (Richard Feynman)

Professor Richard Feynman (1918-1988), Nobel Prize in Physics in 1965, summarizes in a nutshell the essence of scientific method and how to be those who practice it. This magnificent and nterview for the BBC "The pleasure of finding things" ("The Pleasure of Finding Things Out") in 1981, he removed a section entitled "The Uncertainty of Knowledge" (" The Uncertainty of Knowledge "), on religion, truth, knowledge and beliefs.
Subtitled by Creareify Castilian.

Feynman was and remains a popular figure not only for his skill as a lecturer and teacher, but also for his eccentricity and free spirit, shown in books such as: Are you Joking, Mr. Feynman! and other highly successful. In addition to his academic career, Feynman was an admired teacher and a talented amateur musician. In his career he also worked in the Manhattan Project , which was developed bomb . During that time Feynman was in charge of the division of design calculations, and managed to build a massive computing system from machines IBM . During this period he also supervised the security of enrichment plants uranium .
Among 1950 and 1988 , Feynman worked at the Institute Caltech, Caltech , with the position of Toleman Richard Chase Professor of Theoretical Physics , responsible for teaching theoretical physics .
During his life, Feynman received numerous awards including the Albert Einstein Award (Princeton, 1954 ), Lawrence Prize ( 1962 ) and Nobel Prize in Physics of 1965 . It was also a member of American Physical Society, American Association for the Advancement of Science, National Academy of Sciences , and was elected a foreign member of the ; Royal Society in 1965 . He was particularly proud of the Oersted Medal for Teaching which he won in 1972. But perhaps the most important tribute not from academic awards: shortly after his death, a group of Caltech students climbed the front of the Millikan Library of the University and hung a large fabric banner with the words " We love you Dick! "(" We love you, Dick! ").
Among his most important emphasizes the development of Feynman diagrams , an intuitive way to visualize the interactions of atomic particles in quantum electrodynamics using graphical approaches over time. Feynman is also considered one of the pioneering figures of nanotechnology , and one of the first people to propose the future conduct of quantum computers .
Postal Service issued the United States, the May 5 of 2005 a stamp in his honor.
