Using Built-in Isight

Long Weekend: Triathlon European Championships LD (Vitoria) and V

By chance, this weekend (26/06/2010) some team members we divided between us two tests that unwittingly became rivals.

The announcement, by the FETRI, the huge amount of euros that would have to pay the GE for participating in the European Championship LD Triathlon (300 €), made the presence of triathletes in the Triathlon de Buelna was massive. We know that many of the Cantabrian test participants had set their sights on the LD European Championships this season, but the disproportionate enrollment in the trial (over double the LD Championship of Spain, also held in Vitoria, in 2009), over the alleged obligation of a new national standard, exceeded the financial limit that many professional athletes can not afford.

Several examples of the uniformity of the gear for other countries
Beyond controversy, the European Championship LD Triathlon us has given joy to prune count in our ranks with a Champion of Europe (GE). That's right! Susan managed to win the Coto Gold in its category, ahead of Britain's Wendy Staines. We were told our special envoy for the Championship, Susan's victory was exciting until the final British and English were together throughout the race until about three kilometers from the finish, Susan managed to escape and be first past the post, getting, also the best time of all English women participants.

Buelna The history of ... is another story. We brought medals, but it was not foreseeable that keep up. Suffice as an example, the "nerves" floating in the atmosphere at 45 minutes into the men's event.

Count Marquis Romano Varone and Alvarez de Barrena hoping the service will bring the coffee ...

Without too many war stories to tell, the evidence was summarized in a delightful day, a great atmosphere and a party at the end of each and every one of us looked like winners. The worst of the day were withdrawn (and in the field of race walking) from Stoli, Giraldini and Toño, but still managed to be a great day. Rodrigo and Rullo, but do not acknowledge, for a few hours were a bit "academic" and the tremendous enthusiasm with which Emma (megaphone in hand), Carmen, Monica, Alicia, Eva, Jaime, Piti (woman was ubiquitous in all crosses!), Laura, Fran Telmo and encouraged us, made possible the happy faces you can see in the picture ...

almost complete team (we need Toño). Above (from left. To R.) Giraldini, Manu, Sharon, Luis "Sailfish" and Prendergast, below: Stoli and Monchu. This weekend ... Villameca: As we count
